On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Jordan Hotels Association, in collaboration with the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Charity Association, held a specialized training workshop titled: “Managing Celiac Disease and Ensuring Gluten-Free Food Safety in the Hospitality Sector.”
The workshop targeted hotel chefs and food and beverage service staff, aiming to raise awareness and educate participants on the proper ways to accommodate guests with celiac disease. It provided essential knowledge about the condition, the basics of proper nutrition, and practical skills for offering safe and gluten-free food services.
The workshop was opened by Mustafa Kawash, General Manager of the Jordan Hotels Association, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing the quality of hotel services and meeting the needs of guests from various backgrounds.
Suheir Abdelqader, Chairman of the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Charity Association, expressed her gratitude to the Jordan Hotels Association for its constructive cooperation, praising its role in promoting nutritional awareness within the hospitality sector and in implementing the terms of the agreement signed between the two parties.
The workshop included discussions on designing gluten-free menus that cater to the needs of individuals with gluten sensitivities. Attendees responded positively and expressed appreciation for the efforts made to support their professional development.
